Our rooms are designed with open sightlines, and educators are rostered to active supervision zones indoors and out, so no area is ever left unattended. We meet the required educator to child ratios in every room, from open to close.

Every educator holds an early childhood qualification, from Certificate III through to a university degree for our Early Childhood Teachers (ECTs). Our kindergarten program is led by a university qualified early childhood teacher, and our team keeps learning all year.

We follow the NHMRC Staying Healthy guidelines for preventing infection in early childhood services, with documented daily cleaning routines you’re welcome to see.

Access to the centre is controlled, and every drop off and pickup is recorded. You manage who’s authorised to collect your child in your family account, and you can update it any time.

Every staff member, student and volunteer at Smartland Varsity Lakes holds a valid Queensland blue card, the state’s Working with Children Check. Blue card holders are continuously monitored, and our own screening adds further layers.

Ratios are one of the clearest signs of attentive care. Below are the ratios Queensland regulations require, and we go further. We have additional float staff on top of these ratios and always roster to be overstaffed, so there’s always an extra set of hands in the room.

Yes, We're an approved Child Care Subsidy provider, Our daily fee includes meals, nappies, wipes and sunscreen.
We're open Monday to Friday, 6:30am to 6:30pm, 52 weeks a year. We're closed on weekends and public holidays.
We care for children from 6 weeks to school age.
We follow Queensland's required ratios: 1 educator to 4 children from birth to 24 months, 1 to 5 from 24 to 36 months, and 1 to 11 from 36 months to preschool age. On top of that we have additional float staff and always roster to be overstaffed.

Only adults you have preapproved can collect your child. Nobody else will be allowed to, and every drop off and pickup is recorded with our digital sign in and sign out software.
